Our Story

How It All Started

Picture Framing Warehouse was established in 1993 by Karl — a true New Yorker at heart with roots in Erdek, Turkey. Raised in Queens after moving to New York at a young age, Karl grew up on hard work, strong values, and family — principles that still run the business today.

Framing isn't just what we do — it's what runs in the family. Karl is one of eight siblings, and one of four brothers who entered the framing industry. Each built their own path across Florida and beyond, turning a shared trade into decades of craftsmanship, experience, and pride.

Where It All Began

Where It All Happens

From the beginning, this wasn't meant to be a small shop. Our original location spanned over 6,000 square feet — filled wall to wall with frames, mirrors, mats, and artwork. That's where the name came from. That same bold, full-energy feeling is still what people experience the moment they walk in today.

In the back of the gallery is where every piece comes to life. Each frame is cut, built, and finished with precision and care — whether it's fine art, family memories, or something completely one-of-a-kind.

If it matters to you, it matters to us.

Straight Talk

Real People. Real Honesty.

If you know Karl, you know there's no fluff. He's straightforward, honest, and tells you exactly what works and what doesn't — no upselling, no guessing. Just real guidance and true honesty. That's why customers trust him — and keep coming back.

A Family Trade

Built on Family

This gallery has always been more than a business. As a father of four, Karl built Picture Framing Warehouse as a second home — a place where family, work, and life all came together.

He runs his gallery the same way he runs his family: with heart, hard work, and zero shortcuts.

In Loving Memory

Forever Part of Our Story

Ali — Karl's son and a deeply loved brother — grew up inside these walls. This place wasn't just where he spent time — it shaped him, and he helped shape it in return. He learned the craft as he grew, worked alongside his father, and became a true part of how this gallery runs day to day till this very day.

Though he is no longer with us, his presence is still here — in the work, the energy, and the heart behind everything we do.

Ali will always be part of this place.

★★★★★

Karl was very knowledgeable and creative. He made a fun experience even more exciting with his enthusiasm and patience. I once spent over one hour trying to make design decisions and he demonstrated a rare ability to be both helpful yet patient.

Best custom frame shop ever. If you want designers touch, go there. I am tired of same all frames that has no special look. That is why I ask Carl's opinion. He is a real expert with decades of experience. If you want a unique frame, go see him.
